How to Store Artwork in Your Home Staging Warehouse

Feb 21, 2018

We have been asked by a lot of stagers about our secret for storing artwork. After struggling and damaging too much of our inventory, we came up with a solution that has worked beautifully for us for years!

Remove a couple of shelves from a rolling ‘metro’ cart, to fit the size of your art pieces. Weave cotton clothesline in a ‘V’ pattern from top to bottom, every few inches. The clothesline keeps the frames upright and protects them from scratching each other. Since the carts are on wheels, it is easy to load one up and roll it out to the loading area.

  • For the art carts we use: 48 in. W x 72 in. H x 18 in. D
    • They used to come with wheels, but now you would have to buy them separately if you want them to roll.

  • For accessories, we use one that is 24" D and doesn't have a wire shelf.  This would work ONLY for accessories: click here
